Driving digital growth in the creative industries


We supported 37 creative businesses who had been awarded a total of 235,000 Euro funding to develop and commercialise their digital products.

Targeting Innovation designed and delivered the INTERREG IVA funded Honeycoach Programme. This mentoring and coaching programme targeted creative and digital companies located in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of the INTERREG IVA funded Honeycomb – Creative Works Programme. This programme was led by University of Ulster (Northern Ireland), Dundalk Institute of Technology (Ireland) and Creative Skillset (Scotland).

Our role in the delivery of Honeycoach Programme, was to support 37 businesses who had been awarded between £2,000 and £20,000 funding, to develop and commercialise their products through coaching and mentoring. These products varied in their stage of development, ranging from pre-proof of concept solutions, to market-ready products.

Our role involved:

  • Undertaking appraisals of the project as well as strategy reviews.
  • Working with the companies to develop strategy plans and action plans.
  • Designing and delivering commercialisation and strategy workshops to all participants.
  • Opening doors and advocating on behalf of the mentee. 
  • Scanning the market (nationally and internationally) for potential opportunities.
  • Providing 1-2-1 support.
  • Providing advice on Intellectual Property.
